In addition to continuing to support our Geography Outdoors activities, Land Rover will be providing two vehicles for new initiatives. These are:
Remote and challenging
A new ‘Go Beyond’ bursary providing funding up to £10,000 and a Land Rover loan vehicle has been established.
This is for a journey in which participants will go beyond their understanding of a particular geography or environment.
Land Rover’s vehicle must be essential to the journey, and the winner will be required to share their experiences by producing a photographic, written or other account.
Local and doable
Well-planned, safely run, quality fieldwork can benefit students’ learning and personal development.
Land Rover will be supporting our work with primary and secondary teachers and universities with the loan of a vehicle to enable our team to make visits to support the breadth and quality of fieldwork and to put fieldwork back at the centre of geographical education.
Both of the vehicles’ factory costs and mileage will be carbon offset through Climate Care.
