Professional Officer: Chartered Geographer

This appointment is likely to suit a geography graduate in their second post after graduation who has an interest in the professional geographical community and the development and promotion of professional qualifications and has had experience of office work with strong database and communications skills.

The appointment is a full time, permanent post subject to successful completion of a three month probationary period. The salary is £26,310-£27,615 (depending on experience). The post is based in Kensington, London.

Programmes Manager

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Programmes Manager to take responsibility for the small team that formulates, oversees and delivers the Society’s highly respected programme of events for the public in London, and for Fellows and members across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual experienced in the programming, planning, marketing and running of events to take on a role that combines management with doing.

This is a permanent, full time post subject to successful completion of a probationary period of four months. The salary range is £34,283 to £36,364 per annum depending on experience and qualifications. The post is based in Kensington, London.

All placements are unpaid and based in London at RGS-IBG. We do not pay expenses or provide accommodation.
