£10 million endowment by 2015 Support from companies Britain from the Air touring exhibition

The Society is fundraising to create its first ever endowment. This fund will be drawn upon to pump prime development and ensure a sustainable future.

Every year the Society raises around £4.5m to fund core activities and operations; and extra for short term projects. This effort will continue but in addition we want to build a £10m unrestricted fund, which would realise some £1.5m every five years in investment return. So far the Society has raised £3.5m; chiefly from legacies and other bequests.

We welcome donations and legacies that will contribute to the fund now and in years to come.

Geography provides a tool for understanding and managing the world in the 21st Century. It creates an informed, engaged public and younger generation and raises awareness of the rapidly changing environmental and social challenges we face.

If your company is interested in education, research, corporate social responsibility or global change there are a number of ways to become a partner to our activities.

Companies wishing to get involved should contact the Development Office +44 (0)20 7591 3010 or email development@rgs.org.

The inspirational Britain from the Air exhibition has captured the imagination of the public and media alike. Launched in Bath in September 2010 and toured in Oxford in 2011 we hope that the exhibition will tour many other UK town and city centres.
