About our responses

The Society regularly contributes to consultations on issues relating to geographical research and education.

The issues are as diverse as geography – from scientific ethics to encouraging more pupils to do fieldwork at school.

Examples of consultations by UK organisations that we have responded to include:

  • Government departments
  • Research bodies
  • Higher education teaching organisations
  • Research funding councils
  • Parliamentary committees
  • Royal commissions
