What keeps the UK healthy? Geographical perspectives on work and worklessness

Organised jointly with the Geography of Health Research Group (GHRG) this seminar considered:

  • the impacts of the economic downturn upon individuals' and local communities' health - both physical and mental
  • what challenges long-term worklessness poses
  • how these challenges vary across the UK and how geography matters
  • case-studies seeking to address these challenges.
