How do I apply? E-mail the following:
- an application form MSWORD
- a detailed CV
- a 1,000-word professional self-evaluation justifying why you should be awarded CGeog status
- A checklist MSWORD
- arrange for 2 geographical references to be sent in advance using the following form Reference form MSWORD
- If you are not a Fellow already you will need to apply for Fellowship and be proposed by another Fellow, in order to join.
- This information is all merged in the application form.

How much does it cost?
The application fee is £50 and non-refundable. The annual fee is £20 (second and subsequent years only). If you are also applying for Fellowship, the £30 joining fee is waived.
When can I apply and how long will it take?
Applications are accepted all year round at any time by email. Initial decisions are usually reached in 12 weeks.
What additional material should I include?
- Any relevant material that may strengthen the application is encouraged e.g. published material or a scheme of work.
- A list of CPD activities undertaken in the past 6 years.
