There is a mentoring scheme for those interested in the CGeog status, but who do not have enough experience. Mentors are existing Chartered Geographers who can offer support and guidance.
Requesting a mentor:
- Benefits from a current Chartered Geographer's knowledge, helping you to gain necessary experience and knowledge
- Encourages sharing of ideas, skills and knowledge
- Support the creation of local CPD networks
- Opens up new contacts, networks, ideas and opportunities
How do I request a mentor?
We recommend mentors for people who have completed at least four years of relevant professional experience. If you are interested, please contact us, sending a CV.
We will match you with a mentor from your sector and, if possible, from your region. You will then be responsible for initiating and maintaining contact with your mentor. Further information can be found in the documents to the right.
How do I become a mentor?
If you are already a Chartered Geographer and are interested in becoming a mentor (which will count towards your annual CPD), then please contact the Professional Officer.
