Interview with a CGeog (Teacher)

We receive applications for Chartered Geographer (Teacher) from Heads of Geography & Humanities to Outdoor Education Advisors and Teacher Trainers.

Bullet  Louise Ellis, Head of Geography at Stopsley High School in Luton, was, in December 2006, one of the first teachers to be awarded Chartered Geographer (Teacher) status.

Bullet  Mary Sandell, an Advanced Skills Teacher at The Windsor Boys’ School, was awarded Chartered Geographer status in 2006.

Bullet  Paul Hunt, Head of Humanities at St Peter's High School in Essex, was one of the first teachers to be awarded Chartered Geographer (Teacher) status.

Bullet  John Cannings is a geography teacher at the Intercommunity School in Switzerland. John was awarded CGeog status in 2005.

Bullet  Tessa Willy is a Primary Geography PGCE Tutor at Roehampton University, before which she was a primary and secondary geography teacher and also an education consultant. She was awarded Chartered Geographer status in 2005.

Bullet  Caroline Buckley is a Geography Advanced Skills Teacher at Westholme Upper School in Lancashire. Caroline was awarded CGeog (Teacher) status in 2007.

Bullet  Richard Simpson is an Outdoor Education Advisor for Service Children’s Education in Germany. In December 2006 he was awarded Chartered Geographer status.

Bullet  Adam Nichols is a National Strategy Teaching and Learning Consultant for Sunderland LA. He was awarded Chartered Geographer status in 2005.

Bullet  Melanie Barker is an Assistant Headteacher at Highfields School in Matlock. She was awarded CGeog (Teacher) status in 2006.

Bullet  Mark Jones is a Secondary Geography PGCE Tutor at the University of the West of England, Bristol. He was awarded CGeog (Teacher) status in 2007.

Bullet  Rebecca Kitchen is a Head of Geography at Aylesbury High School in Buckinghamshire. She was awarded CGeog (Teacher) status in 2007.

Bullet  Jonathan Powell is Deputy Headteacher at Clitheroe Royal Grammar School in Lancashire. He was awarded CGeog (Teacher) status in 2007.

Bullet  Peter Evea is a Secondary National Strategy Foundation Subjects / Teaching and Learning Consultant at Co Durham CYPS Education Development Service. He was awarded CGeog (Teacher) status in 2008.

Bullet  Paula Cooper is Head of Geography at King Edward VI Fiveways School in Birmingham. Paula was awarded CGeog (Teacher) status in 2005.
