Regional Theatres Programme

The Regional Theatres Programme was established in 2002 to promote geography to the wider public across England and Wales.

We currently work with 7 uniquely chosen commercial arts and theatre venues across England and Wales.

Our speakers are chosen for their ability to inform, inspire and enlighten their audiences about the diverse world of geography. The events are open to everyone.

Recent talks include ‘An evening with Ben Fogle’; a walk through Iran with Mark Kalch; expert Chris Bradley describing the fascinating emergence of Libya as a tourist destination; a behind the scenes look at the production of the amazing BBC series ‘Planet Earth’ and an evening getting under the skin of the tangible effects of climate change as a Papua New Guinea population leave their home due to rising sea levels.

Not all speakers are well known, but they are all experts in their fields and offer a unique insight into our planet.
