This course is a must for those involved in planned visits in the UK or overseas. Spread over two days, it offers an in depth look at the safety management issues involved in planning, managing and evaluating local visits, fieldtrips, residentials and exchanges.

The course is particularly relevant for educational visit coordinators, teachers, youth leaders and university lecturers - anyone responsible for off-site visits within their organisation.

Cost: Standard £240 (including VAT), RGS-IBG member £216 (including VAT). Includes notes and lunch, accommodation not provided. Places limited to 16 per course.

Training the Trainer
We run a yearly course for those interested in becoming an accredited RGS-IBG Off-site Safety Management Trainer. The next course will run on the 20 June 2013. If you are interested in attending, please contact Geography Outdoors.

Course notes
This course was originally administered and examined by OCR providing an NVQ level 3 qualification. OCR has chosen to discontinue this qualification, with the last exams sat in February 2008. The RGS-IBG have since taken on administration of the course.
