Off-site Safety Management

This course is a must for those involved in planned visits in the UK or overseas. Spread over two days, it offers an in depth look at the safety management issues involved in planning, managing and evaluating local visits, fieldtrips, residentials and exchanges.

The course is particularly relevant for educational visit coordinators, teachers, youth leaders and university lecturers - anyone responsible for off-site visits within their organisation.
CPD points are awarded for course attendance. A full course curriculum (PDF) is available to download.

Cost: Standard £280 (including VAT), RGS-IBG member £252 (including VAT). Includes notes and lunch, accommodation not provided. Places limited to 16 per course.

Training the Trainer

We run a yearly course for those interested in becoming an accredited RGS-IBG Off-site Safety Management Trainer. Interested trainers must have already completed the two-day Off-site Safety Management course, have extensive expedition or fieldwork experience and be able to show training and/or teaching skills.

Cost: Standard £190 (including VAT), RGS-IBG member £171 (including VAT). Includes notes and lunch, accommodation not provided.
