ILCB funding

A small number of grants and bursaries are available to support young researchers from Ecuador, Indonesia and Uganda being involved in field programmes.

Bursaries of up to £2,000 are available to teams or individuals undertaking field research in these countries. The fieldwork & research should make a contribution to the Millennium Development goals relating to "ensuring environmental sustainability", for example in the areas of:

Bullet  sustainable development
Bullet  reversing the loss of environmental resources and biodiversity
Bullet  access to safe water

We run a cycle for applications to the bursary programme with the most recent round closing on the 30th June 2008.  Full details and an application form can be downloaded form the link on the right.  If you have missed this deadline and have a proposal which you believe may be of interest to us, please do contact the Society via Shane Winser s.winser@rgs.org to
