Land Rover 'Go Beyond' Bursary

The first RGS-IBG Land Rover ‘Go Beyond Bursary’ has been awarded to Latitude, who are travelling in a Land Rover Defender along the line of 50° North.

Bullet  Route
Starting close to Britain’s most southerly point in Cornwall, they cross Europe via Frankfurt, Prague, Krakow, Kiev and Volgograd.

Then across Kazakhstan from the Caspian Depression to the Altai mountains before crossing Mongolia and eastern Siberia.

Shipping the vehicle from Japan to Vancouver, they cross Canada to Newfoundland.

Bullet  Reporting their journey
Passing through a range of climate zones, they will meet and interview workers and their families. On their return, they will compile a report bringing to life a chain of people around the world on this shared latitude.

Before departure from the UK, Latitude visit 10 schools which they will visit again on return, and link up with pupils along the route.
