Participate in fieldwork opportunities
There are many opportunties to participate in fieldwork; within and outside of your undergraduate studies, with clubs and societies, volunteering locally or overseas during the holidays or taking a gap year between degree and employment.
Why do fieldwork? »

Fieldwork Apprenticeships
Each year, we are awarding five bursaries to support first year university geography students to work as apprentices on overseas fieldwork during the summer.
Each student will be involved with a research project, led by a lecturer at their institution.
Last summer the first five undergraduates worked on overseas field projects with their academic mentors.
Apply Now!
The next round of applications is for geography undergraduates commencing their degree in autumn 2010. Download the guidance notes, application form, referee guidance and academic mentor form and email the completed forms to the Learning & Leading Project Coordinator by: Friday 28 January 2011
