The Society supports innovation in teaching geography at secondary and higher education level.

  Innovative Geography Teaching Grant
Several grants of up to £800 are available annually for secondary school teachers. Deadline: To be confirmed.

  Ray Y Gildea Jr Award 
A single award of £1,000 is given annually to one innovative teaching project. This award is open to secondary teachers or university lecturers in the UK and the USA. Deadline: To be confirmed.

  'From the Field' Goldsmiths' Awards
Bursaries of up to £500 to develop teaching resources alongside researchers. Deadline: 10 February 2012.

  Learning & Leading Fieldwork Masterclass Weekends
Develop your school's fieldwork provision - twice each academic year, we are offering 16 places for teachers on funded residential weekend master-classes.  All course fees, accommodation and meals are covered by the project.  Teachers only need to pay for their travel to get to the course location.
