The Learning & Leading 2009 A-Level summer school

During the summer holidays,16 students from across Scotland, England and Wales attended the summer school, before commencing their A2 geography studies this September.

They undertook a range of geography fieldwork, investigating how London can be a greener, cleaner and healthier city, why Stratford was chosen as the main venue for the London 2012 Olympics, and London's flood protections.

The 16 participants completed activities such as floodplain land use mapping, examining the nature of East London housing and presenting data using Google Earth.
