Participate in fieldwork opportunities

There are many opportunties to participate in fieldwork; within and outside of your undergraduate studies, with clubs and societies, volunteering locally or overseas during the holidays or taking a gap year between degree and employment.

Why do fieldwork? »

Fieldwork Apprenticeships

Each year, we are awarding five bursaries to support first year university geography students to work as apprentices on overseas fieldwork during the summer.

Each student will be involved with a research project, led by a lecturer at their institution.

Apply

The next round of applications is for geography undergraduates commencing a degree in autumn 2011.  Download the guidance notes for more information and details on how to apply. Apply by 5pm on Friday 17 February 2012.
