Learning and Leading

Never had the opportunity to experience high quality fieldwork or an overseas gap year? Then maybe Learning and Leading is for you! See geography come to life, learn about new world environments and develop your skills.

The Learning and Leading programme is designed to give opportunities to those who have faced or are facing challenging circumstances. Split into four strands, the programme: offers bursaries for maintained school A-Level students to undertake fieldwork summer schools in the UK; awards grants to school leavers to go on a meaningful gap year; provides fieldwork masterclass weekends for teachers; and enables first year geography undergraduates to take part in overseas research projects.
