Call for proposals

The Science Museums and Archives Consortium (Science Museum Group Museums, BT Archives, RGS-IBG and the Royal Society) each year award six AHRC-funded Collaborative Doctoral studentships. All projects are required to involve a collaboration between a university-based researcher and the staff and (archive) materials at one of the CDP consortium institutions.

The call for proposals for projects starting in 2018 is now open! The application process is a two-stage collaborative process that may be initiated by either the HEI academic or member of staff at SMAC. Draft proposal outlines should be submitted by 24 September 2017 for shortlisting and review. Approved shortlisted full proposals should then be submitted by the final application deadline of 24 November 2017. Details of how to make contact with Consortium members, the application process, call for proposals, and key deadlines are available here.

If you are an academic from a university with a potential project, or have an interest in discussing opportunities, please contact Dr Catherine Souch at RGS-IBG.
