The British Academy has issued a new call for applications for the Small Research Grant scheme. Funds are available to facilitate initial project planning and development; to support the direct costs of research; and to enable the advancement of research through workshops, or visits by or to partner scholars. Conference Support Grants
A new call has also been issued for the Conference Support Scheme. Conference convenors may apply for any combination of the following: (a) financial assistance, whether for bringing key speakers to the UK (or other location if the event is to be held abroad), or for a wider range of expenses; (b) use of the British Academy as a venue (with the option of some organisational assistance); (c) subsequent publication of proceedings by the British Academy. details...
Overseas Conference Grants
The British Academy has also issued a new call for applications for the Overseas Conference Grant scheme. Grants are available for the travel expenses of a scholar delivering a paper at a conference abroad, to the value of £900. details...
The deadline for applications to the above schemes is 15 October 2008 for research or conferences commencing from January 2009 onwards. Awards will be announced in December 2008. |
