Cultural Aspects of International Management

Description This module extends prior learning in all management areas by focusing on the context of issues and problems within the international marketplace, including cultural variables and legal aspects of employment and trading.

Level A compulsory module for Level 4 Hospitality & Tourism students and an optional module for Level 4 Management students.

Aim To provide the student with the ability to evaluate generic areas of management from an international perspective.

Delivery A programme of core lectures introduces contemporary issues related to the operation of internationally active enterprises. This is supported by tutorials, seminars and computer workshops. Students are expected to carry out student-centred learning research topics and report back to the group within the tutorial/seminar programme. An international visit is included – currently funded by Aberdeen Business School.
