Research & Higher Education

Geographical research into cultures, economies and environments brings new knowledge and improved understanding of the world.

Applying that knowledge can help to solve some of the many challenges facing society and the environment.

Since 1830, we have been promoting and supporting geographical research through a wide range of activities.
