The Geography of Health Research Group (GHRG) is a lively and supportive network for all those interested in research in geography of health and health care. Always pleased to welcome new members, their main activities include:
- meetings, bringing together researchers in geography of health and health care nationally and internationally
- well-established bi-annual International Medical Geography Symposium
- supporting postgraduates working in geography of health and health care
- emailing news and conference announcements to the large network of members

Undergraduate dissertation prize winner 2009:
Catriona Towriss (School of Geography, University of Nottingham) for her dissertation entitled Medicine and Imperialism: The British Colonial Government’s Response to the 1900-1920 Sleeping Sickness Epidemic in Uganda
