Geography of Leisure and Tourism Research Group
Formed in 2000, the Geography of Leisure and Tourism Research Group (GLTRG) aims to create a network of academics, researchers and students exploring all issues of tourism and leisure. This site hopes to bring together a wide range of ideas and resources to stimulate a thriving, global research group where we can exchange ideas and work together to produce creative and innovative future research agendas for tourism and leisure geographies.
The key aims of the GLTRG are to:
- Advance and promote geographical research and knowledge in leisure and tourism
- Facilitate the exchange of ideas and experiences amongst university academics, practitioners and other researchers with an active interest in the area
- Support postgraduate research
- Disseminate information in the form of a newsletter, Journeys and through a comprehensive website
- Effect publications
- Organise meetings and conferences in the UK and overseas
