Higher Education Research Group

The Higher Education Research Group (HERG) provides the main forum for the discussion of issues concerning higher education and geography within the RGS-IBG.

HERG provides a full programme of events at the RGS-IBG Annual Conference, as well as occasional one day workshops and seminars throughout the year.

The Group has strong links with the other organisations involved in higher education matters such as the:

• Higher Education Academy Subject Centre for GEES, INLT, CTI Geography Discipline Network
• Journal of Geography in Higher Education

In recent years group members have been active in promoting pedagogic research and developing the links between teaching and research.
