Geography of Leisure and Tourism

Formed in 2000, the Geography of Leisure and Tourism Research Group (GLTRG) is one of the most recent and vibrant editions to the RGS-IBG. 

The key aims of the GLTRG are:

button  to advance and promote geographical research and knowledge in leisure and tourism.

button  to facilitate the exchange of ideas and experiences amongst university academics, practitioners and other researchers with an active interest in the area.

button  to support postgraduate research.

button  to disseminate information in the form of a news letter, Journeys and through a comprehensive website.

button  to effect publications.

button  to organise meetings and conferences in the UK and Overseas.
