The UGRG is committed to:
- Developing constructive dialogue between different factions within urban geography, between the economic and the cultural, traditional and non-traditional, feminist and non-feminist, and so on
- Increasing the profile of female and also younger urban geographers
- Developing closer links with the AAG Urban Geography Specialist Group
Such objectives are being met through conferences, special publications, features in newsletters etc.
