This animation introduces KS3 students to the concept of development. Students will find out about the development challenge for poorer people. Following on from this, they will explore possible pathways out of poverty that can assist with the development process.

The intended learning outcome is that students understand how the development process comprises of a range of human needs being met alongside income growth. Poverty reduction and the achievement of welfare and human rights are interconnected goals.
