Meetings and conferences

Rooms at the Society can host meetings for as few as 16 and conferences with as many as 400 delegates.

Meetings

The Society has four small meeting rooms:

Council Room: elegant board room seating up to 20 around the large table
Lowther Room: Victorian library room seating up to 16 around the table
Sunley Room: teaching room with built in data projector and interactive screen, seating 16 classroom style or 25 lecture theatre style
Drayson Room: with accessible toilet and let jointly with the Sunley Room as breakout space or 20 boardroom style

These rooms are available for daytime hire only, unless used in conjunction with a larger evening event.

The Society is well known for hosting a wide variety of high profile conferences, multimedia presentations and press launches.

Conferences and seminars for between 120 and 400 delegates can be held in the Ondaatje Theatre.

The adjacent Map Room (and surrounding corridors) is used to cater for a maximum of 150 delegates.

For larger numbers of delegates, refreshments are also served from the Hall and Education Centre.

Smaller conferences for up to 80 are held in the Education Centre, with the Hall being used for catering.

The Ondaatje Theatre and Education Centre are equipped with audio visual systems and climate control.
