Map Room

The Map Room is part of the neo-classical extension, which was commissioned by the Society in 1930. Its proportions mirror those of the 1870s Lowther Lodge.

Decorated with pictures of explorers and a 17th century Chinese map of the world, it leads on to the garden terrace.

Conferences

The Map Room is let with the Ondaatje Theatre, and can be used to cater for up to 120 people.

For conferences with higher numbers, catering would also take place in the Hall and Education Centre.

Weddings

The Map Room is a reception room for up to 150 guests and is also suitable for dancing.
