The Council Room has been used for the Society's Council meetings since 1930.

Lined with portraits and fitted with a magnificent 18th century marble chimney piece (from Lowther Lodge’s original Ball Room), and a unique globe, made for the Great Exhibition of 1851.

Due to its proximity to the Ondaatje Theatre we are unable to hold dinners or receptions unless they are held in conjunction to a lecture.

Capacities:

  • Boardroom style - 20
  • Reception (only held before lectures) - 50
