AC2013 local area map (click to enlarge) »The conference is held at the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG), at the junction of Kensington Gore and Exhibition Road in Kensington, London, and at Imperial College London, on Exhibition Road.

The Society hosts registration, the conference helpdesk, conference plenaries, publishers' exhibition, lunch and reception catering, and a small number of conference sessions. Most conference sessions are held at Imperial College London, a short walk down Exhibition Road. Tea and coffee are served in the foyer of the Sir Alexander Fleming building at Imperial College London during the morning and afternoon breaks, but delegates should return to the Society to collect lunch. Conference volunteers and staff run a conference helpdesk in the foyer of the Sir Alexander Fleming Building from 8.30am to 5.00pm each day.

Visiting the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG)

The Society is located in Kensington at the junction of Exhibition Road and Kensington Gore. There is a wide range of transport options available, including local tube stations and bus stops close to the Society. Find out more about visiting the Society.

Visiting Imperial College London

Imperial College London is located about halfway down Exhibition Road, a comfortable 10 minute walk from the Society. Delegates should enter the campus via Imperial College Road, which is just past the College entrance as you walk down Exhibition Road (away from the Society). Conference signage will be displayed around the campus to help delegates, and College staff are located in the foyer of each building if you need any assistance.

Conference staff run a helpdesk in the foyer of the Sir Alexander Fleming Building from 8.30am to 5.00pm each day.

Delegates should allow approximately 15 minutes to get to and from a specific session room at Imperial College to the Society.

The map above shows the location of the Society in relation to the various buildings that are used by the conference at Imperial College. All buildings are signposted from Imperial College Road and delegates are advised to enter the campus by that route.
