Call for Sessions and Papers
Members of the geographical and related communities are invited to propose sessions and papers for the RGS-IBG Annual International Conference 2013.
Conference theme
The conference has a theme of new geographical frontiers, inviting exploration of the many ways that frontier can be employed as a concept, a metaphor or as a point of empirical focus, such as in geographical theory, inter-disciplinary research, and the contribution and impact of geography in society and economy.
Session organisers and delegates are invited to submit session and paper proposals to the conference, especially those which contribute to: how we theorise (think) and practise (do) geography; the contribution geography makes to addressing challenges that humanity faces and the need to go beyond inter-disciplinary boundaries and geographical frontiers to research new topics in innovative ways.
Deadlines and submission process
The deadline for the Call for Sessions is 13 February 2013. Session organisers are encouraged to advertise Calls for Papers through the conference website, and prospective delegates are encouraged to check the Calls for Papers regularly - deadlines for proposing a paper to these sessions will be some time before the conference's February session submission deadline.
The deadline for the 'open' Call for Papers for sessions convened by the RGS-IBG conference planning committee is 12 April 2013.
If you have any questions about proposing a session or paper for the conference, please read the information on the web pages listed below and/or contact the organisers at AC2013@rgs.org.
