Key dates and deadlines

The conference will take place from Wednesday 2 to Friday 4 September 2015, with workshops and an opening event and drinks reception on Tuesday 1 September 2015.

The following dates are tentative and subject to change - please check back regularly.

AC2015 Call for Sessions and Call for Papers/Posters (CfP) open

November 2014 to February 2015 (with various deadlines for organised session CfPs)

  • Session organisers (Research Groups or independent organisers) and the conference organisers advertise Calls for Papers to their sessions
  • Prospective delegates submit paper proposals to either:
    1. Organised sessions (by Research Groups or independent organisers)
    2. 'Open' call, with sessions to be convened by RGS-IBG conference planning committee

All session organisers and prospective delegates are asked to read the guidelines for participation before advertising a Call for Papers for their session, or before submitting a paper proposal to any session.

Session organisers may advertise their CfP on the conference website by sending a copy to AC2015@rgs.org.

Deadline for programme submissions (organised sessions, papers and posters)

Friday 20 February 2015

Prospective delegates should submit their paper and poster proposals to organised sessions and 'open' sessions.  The Calls for Papers for 'organised' sessions will have various submission deadlines, some well before 20 February 2015.

Session organisers are asked to submit their completed session proposal forms to the conference organisers by Friday 20 February 2015. This should include information about all proposed papers and authors. The conference organisers will confirm receipt, and confirm acceptance a short time later.

Conference organisers confirm acceptance of sessions & papers

End of March 2015

Conference organisers will formally confirm acceptance of papers for the conference. Delegates may request letters of acceptance to make funding applications. Conference organisers will begin timetabling the programme.

Session organisers should convey planning information to participants in their sessions, for example length of time they can speak for, any special arrangements. Session organisers should also supply any special requirements to conference organisers.

Conference organisers will separately confirm acceptance of papers for 'open' sessions and organise papers into themed sessions within the conference programme.
