The following dates are tentative and subject to change - please check back regularly.
AC2013 Call for Sessions and Call for Papers (CfP) open
October 2012 to February 2013 (Sessions) or various deadlines by April 2013 (Papers)
- Session organisers (Research Groups or independent organisers) advertise Calls for Papers to their themed sessions
- Prospective delegates submit paper proposals to either:
- Organised sessions (by Research Groups or independent organisers)
- 'Open' sessions to be convened by RGS-IBG conference planning committee
All session organisers and prospective delegates are asked to read the guidelines for participation before advertising a Call for Papers for their session, or before submitting a paper proposal to any session.
Session organisers may advertise their CfP on the conference website by sending a copy to AC2013@rgs.org.
Deadline for completed session proposals to be submitted
13 February 2013
Session organisers are asked to submit their completed session proposal forms to the conference organisers by 13 February 2013. This should include information about all proposed papers and authors. The conference organisers will confirm receipt, and confirm acceptance a short time later.
Conference organisers confirm acceptance of sessions
End of March 2013
Conference organisers will formally confirm acceptance of papers for the conference. Delegates may request letters of acceptance to make funding applications. Conference organisers will begin timetabling the programme.
Session organisers should convey planning information to participants in their sessions, for example length of time they can speak for, any special arrangements. Session organisers should also supply any special requirements to conference organisers.

Online registration open. Deadline for reduced rate ('early-bird') registrations is 14 June 2013.
Deadline for paper proposals to 'open' sessions to be submitted
12 April 2013
Prospective delegates are asked to submit their paper proposals for 'open' sessions (convened by the conference planning committee) by 12 April 2013. Papers that have been submitted to sessions organised by Research Groups or other session organisers may be submitted as open papers if you have confirmation they have not been accepted for another organised session.

Conference organisers confirm acceptance of papers for 'open' sessions and organise papers into themed sessions within the conference programme.
Provisional conference programme reviewed
End-April 2013
Provisional conference programme shared with Research Groups and session organisers for initial feedback, then published on conference website for delegates to check. Session organisers and presenters are invited to make corrections and request final changes to titles and abstracts - requests should be emailed to AC2013@rgs.org before 19 July 2013.
Deadline for early-bird (reduced rate) registration
14 June 2013
All those listed on the conference programme (for example; chairs, discussants, presenters and so on) should be registered by this date.
Final conference programme announced
1 July 2013
Final conference programme published on conference website. Session organisers, authors and presenters may make final changes until 19 July 2013 (when the conference programme book goes to print). Any later changes will be made on the website, but not in the programme book.
AC2013 conference takes place
Wednesday 27 to Friday 29 August 2013 (with opening reception on Tuesday 26 August 2013)
