An Environment & Society Forum conference

Regions, Energy and Climate
On Wednesday 25 October 2006, the Royal Geographical Society with IBG held a one day conference to discuss the current issues surrounding the role that the regions can play in helping to move towards a sustainable energy economy.

The day looked at how regional development agencies, the private sector, central government and local governments can meet the long term challenges that the UK is facing.

Malcolm Wicks MP, Energy Minister gave the keynote speech, a copy of which is available (see right hand links).

A programme and conference book containing abstracts and biographies of the speakers can be found on the right hand side under the documents list.
