The Stromboli volcano: tourism and traditions

Stromboli is the world’s most active volcano. Recent eruptions have generated tsunamis and focused attention on the threat to Sicily and mainland Italy. This lecture explores ancient traditions, through film and photography, and reviews modern tourism and research on this most famous of European volcanoes.

Size of Wales: How Wales is contributing to rain forest conservation

Danielle Johnson will describe how a compost toilet manufacturer in Powys, one of the UK’s largest accountancy firms and tourism businesses in Pembrokeshire have joined schools to help protect an area of tropical forest, quite literally, the Size of Wales.
