One day Continuing Professional Development (CPD) conferences exploring new developments and are held in November and February each year. Events are also run in partnership with Ofsted, Becta and QCA along with other relevant organisations.

Also available is the professional accreditation of Chartered Geographer, which enhances the professional status of teachers.

Training on risk assessment and safe fieldwork in the local area, courses for Education Visits Coordinators and more challenging fieldwork activities and expeditions are available from the Expeditions Advisory Centre.
