Field techniques courses

These one-day workshops are aimed at those doing field research, either for dissertations or as part of an overseas expedition or fieldwork.

Courses planned for Autumn 2009 include:

  Google Earth training
· October 2009

This practical workshop shows participants the basics of Google Earth and how to create a virtual tour of their journeys.

Participants get hands-on experience with digital cameras and GPS units, creating mini-fieldwork projects, and transformed data into a Google Earth virtual journey.
