Pupil Workshops

These free workshops use the unique material in the Society's collections to support the geography, history and citizenship curriculum.

bullet  Snapshots of China
The Society will shortly be running drama-based workshops exploring the history, culture and challenges facing China in collaboration with the Yellow Earth Theatre Company.

The workshops accompany a new exhibition entitled 'Seeing China: Reflections of a community' for which we have worked closely with a number of London-based Chinese community groups and a youth group.
Sessions target Key Stage 2 & 3 pupils and will introduce students to China through stories and drama activities based on the Society's unique archival collections of maps, artefacts and photographs.

bullet  Dates:
9, 23, 30 June and 2, 3, 4, 8, 10, 14, 16 July 2008.

Workshops last for 2 hours and are suitable for a maximum of 30 students. Sessions take place at either 10.00-12.00 or 12.30-14.30.
