Please submit your School Essay Competition entries using the form below. After submission, you will be taken to a page with a link to upload your entries.

Entrants' names and school names must not be written anywhere on submitted entries.

Please do not start to complete this form until you are ready to create a unique submission code and submit your entries using the following file naming system. This is to ensure that all entries remain anonymous throughout the process and speed up the associated admin work.

Submission code:

Last three (3) characters of your school postcode - Submission day - Submission month - Teacher's initials

e.g. 2AR-14-03-GM

Individual file names:

Submission code - Student's initials (use middle name initial too if there are any duplicates)

e.g. 2AR-14-03-GM-HS

The unique code must be written on submissions - without it, we will not be able to identify the winners after the selection process.

ArcGIS StoryMaps should be provided as a hyperlink in a PDF, with your unique file name (see above), a title and brief description less than 60 words in the document (not included in the overall word count). You must test that the link opens for anyone, without being signed in, before it is submitted.

Students should ideally upload their completed essay as a PDF, though we will also accept Word documents.
