The Society organises a range of meetings, bringing together geographers with other disciplines, policy-makers, business leads and other professionals. These events demonstrate the value of geography in discussions about some of the greatest challenges facing society today.

21st Century Challenges: Policy Forum

The 21CC Policy Forum ran from 2015 - March 2017. Policy Forum events considered, analysed and debated the challenges that will affect our society, economy and environment over the coming decades.

Environment and Society Forum

A series of events bringing together geographers, different disciplines and professional within the neutral and respected setting of the RGS-IBG.

Metro mayors: RGS-IBG with CURDS

A panel discussion on the future of the 'metro mayoral' model of devolution in England, organised jointly with the Centre for Urban and Regional Development Studies (CURDS), which took place on 30 March 2017.
