We are seeking a talented individual with strong storytelling skills and experience of working in a press office to join the Society’s communications team. The Press and Social Media Officer is a new role dedicated to raising awareness of geography and promoting the Society’s wide-ranging activities to a large audience through both traditional and social media.
This role will suit someone who has strong traditional media relations skills alongside a good understanding of how to use social media creatively and effectively for an organisation.

This is a permanent appointment subject to successful completion of a probationary period of three months. The salary range for this post is £28,175 to £30,753 per annum depending upon experience and qualifications.
