A session focused on the evaluative demands posed by geography assessment objectives, and strategies for developing students' evaluative capabilities. Please note that this event is for teachers.
Evaluation is the greatest assessment challenge for many Geography students - especially those not taking other subjects that require them to develop evaluative essay-writing skills. There’s more to doing well in exams than revision: evaluative skills develop over time through active reading and critical thinking, even at Key Stage Three.
In particular, this session focuses on:
