Book now via University of Plymouth Join staff and students, along with the South West regional committee, for this public event celebrating 50 years of geography as a degree subject at the University of Plymouth. Dan Charman, formerly Professor of Physical Geography at the University of Plymouth and now Pro-Vice Chancellor at the University of Exeter, will present a lecture showcasing the critical relevance of geographers’ work on a pressing global issue: ‘Whither the wetlands? The world’s wet places and future climate change’. This will be followed by Mark Brayshay, Emeritus Professor of Historical Geography at the University of Plymouth, who will present a short history of geography at Plymouth to accompany the launch of his book on the subject. The event will be followed by a wine reception at 7.15pm. Please note this event will include this term's Mark Blacksell memorial lecture.
