This session will focus upon GCSE content for teaching about changing UK human landscapes:
The overview of UK human landscapes – population, urban-rural landscapes and changing urban environments
Population dynamics in the UK
Urban and rural landscapes
Understanding urban change and contemporary urban issues e.g. regeneration
Changes to the UK economy and the impacts of this
This is core to all GCSE Geography specifications.
This course may particularly appeal to:
Those who are new to teaching – or are ’returners’ – and would like a refresher on new content at GCSE
Physical geographers who wish to refresh their knowledge of human processes at this level
Non-geographers who are teaching GCSE and wish to receive some subject content training in human geography
The course will be led by Bob Digby.
This training will be delivered online and will last for approximately two and a half hours in total, with a break (or breaks). Delegates will be sent a link to join the course by email. This may not be sent immediately after booking, but it will arrive prior to the course. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have not received confirmation by the day before the event.
