We are pleased to present a series of Geography and Core Maths CPD events for teachers. Visit our Geography and Core Maths page for more details about the Geography and Core Maths Initiative, run in partnership with AMSP.
These free, online sessions are for geography teachers who wish to build their confidence when using mathematics in the teaching of A Level Geography. The six sessions will look at a range of statistical and analytical content. During the sessions we will model approaches to teaching mathematical content and share ideas on how to engage students in meaningful discussions about data in geography. In the first session, no prior knowledge or experience will be assumed. Subsequent sessions may build on some knowledge and skills covered in prior sessions, so teachers are encouraged to attend the entire series if possible.
This event is recognised by the Society as being suitable professional development for Chartered Geographer and may also be suitable for other professional accreditations.
