Chartered Geographers and those registered on our Geography Professional programme are invited to join an online discussion forum to complement and enrich the learning they undertake in the Esri-delivered free online training course Do it yourself geo apps.
Signing up will give you access to two online discussion sessions hosted by a Chartered Geographer mentor, in which you will:
reflect upon the course content and your learning
consider how this learning relates to the CGeog Framework of Competencies
consider how this learning relates to your work, and future development as a geography professional
get ideas for other ways to put your learning into practice
network with Chartered Geographers, and learn from their experiences.
Participants in this discussion forum will be expected to complete the online course within the period set by Esri, which starts 29 July 2020.
The Chartered Geographer discussion sessions accompanying this course will take place:
Mid-point discussion - Thursday 13th August 2020, 4pm
End-point discussion - Thursday 27th August 2020, 4pm
You should aim to have completed approximately half the course before taking part in the mid-point discussion, and to complete the course for the end-point discussion.
Before joining this discussion forum, please understand that you are responsible for:
Ensuring that the course is relevant and appropriate for your professional development needs, and that you meet the minimum criteria/experience for taking part in the online course
Signing up to join the course, and completing it in the agreed timeframe in order to attend and contribute fully to both discussion sessions.
