Join Andrew for the monring's talk, which focuses on Tavistock's role as a gateway to a Cornish Mining World Heritage Site and development of Bedford Cottages and canal. Followed by an afternoon guided walk of the area.
Andrew Thompson is a heritage consultant and independent archaeologist and historian who has spent his working life exploring, explaining and interpreting the history of South West England. He now works as a heritage consultant specialising in interpretation and research. His recent projects include interpretation planning for the Tavistock World Heritage Site, Tavistock Guildhall and the Looe Valley.

[Cancelled] Walk around the estate of the Grade 1 listed Kingsweston House (currently being restored) opening up new vistas. Picnic or café lunch and then onward to the adjacent Blaise Castle Estate, a SSSI and Roman Road.
