10.00am-4.00pm
This workshop for secondary school geography teachers, led by Esri UK, will provide a brief insight into using ArcGIS for fieldwork and the NEA. It is suitable for beginners and intermediate users.
We will look at:
-
Using GIS to help develop and contextualise a question
-
Collecting 'GIS-ready' data (including Survey 123)
-
Data presentation
-
Introducing analysis tools
We will also discuss the Teach with GIS Hub.
This online session for teachers is designed to sit alongside the longer face-to-face session in our CPD programme. It will not offer the range of content and ideas that we are able to cover during the full day course, but it will provide a useful starting point if you are not able to attend one of our face-to-face sessions.
We recommend attending the full day ‘in-person’ course, where possible. Please do not book onto a face-to-face and online course with the same event title, as the content will overlap.
