Heat networks are shared systems for providing multiple properties and buildings with hot water and/or space heating (and sometimes cooling), improving the energy efficiency of heating systems.

Whilst older heating systems use fossil fuels to generate energy, the most efficient, low-carbon heat networks use ambient heat (heat stored in the air or water), or waste heat (such as from the London Underground, energy-from-waste plants, or data centres).

The London Heat Map is a public-facing interactive mapping application that showcases existing and proposed heat networks in London, alongside related assets such as waste heat sources that could potentially be utilised by heat networks.

Join this webinar to hear about the role of heat networks in the decarbonisation of heat and how the London Heat Map is supporting their strategic planning and delivery.

You’ll learn about the key datasets, functionality and use cases, along with our future development plans.
