We are delighted to announce applications for our Wiley Digital Archive Research Fellowships 2021-2022 are open.
As a partner of the Wiley Digital Archives (WDA), hundreds of thousands of items from our Collections have been digitised. These materials are available for research through the WDA platform, which allows users to make connections between materials in many different formats to build up a richer portrait of a given place, person or expedition.
Last year we supported 10 researchers with access to the WDA platform, who completed research on a range of topics from the forgotten archipelago of Santa Catarina and growing tourism and worldliness through aeromobility in Africa, to low-latitude historical aurorae and exploring the early uses of isobaths and contour lines on maps.
The Wiley Digital Archive Research Fellowships 2021-2022 will provide researchers with six months’ access to the Wiley Digital Archives to pursue a focused research project on a part-time basis. Successful applicants are encouraged to use this opportunity to pilot new projects and/or to support and enable their existing research. The scheme will also provide opportunities for the successful applicants to share their findings with wider audiences. Up to 10 fellowships will be awarded.
The deadline for applications is Monday 13 December.
